I ask this against a pervasive off-duty police presence in the local security market.

Most readers automatically assume that police doing security is a good thing. With their uniforms, arrest powers and patrol cars, this should be the best protection money can buy?

http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21281#comments Thu, 03 Jul 2008 17:38:53 -0400 nadraenzi 21281 at http://www2.beaufortgazette.com The Proverb of the Bright & Shiny Penny! http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21280
Jackson Grimes & the U F U Canada Ltd.

The Proverb of the Penny

http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21280#comments Thu, 03 Jul 2008 17:38:32 -0400 TheGothicWitch 21280 at http://www2.beaufortgazette.com Sheriff Tanner says "couple of people that have popped up during this investigation and they are interesting." http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21267
VIDEO of Interview with Sheriff Tanner, Beaufort County, SC
RE: John and Elizabeth Calvert and Dennis Gerwing

http://www.wtoc.com/global/video/flash/popupplayer.asp?ClipID1=2652202&h1=Investigators%20open%20up%20about%20Calvert%20case&vt1=v&at1=News&d1=168967&LaunchPageAdTag=News&activePane=info&rnd=59177163

Thursday, it will be four months since John and Elizabeth Calvert disappeared from Hilton Head Island.

Their boat still sits in Harbour Town, but where are John and Elizabeth Calvert? One particular match was epic and true..Ollie North aginst James Webb. Ollie North won the match but lost getting promoted to Colonel when James Webb became the Secretary of the Navy. John McCain is backed in a corner now with Obama lying about getting his cronies to insult McCain's career while his cronies go about trying to demean everything McCain did in the military including graduating in the bottom of his class. It's high time McCain took off his gloves.

http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21263#comments Wed, 02 Jul 2008 17:37:49 -0400 blaze2453 21263 at http://www2.beaufortgazette.com POP: Wall-E! See, if I hadn't gone, I would have never known what a drain I am on society.

I'm one of those kids who dresses a little weird. Until last night I didn't realize that was a problem because I've always made decent grades and my bosses over the years have said I do good work. But last night, I learned that dressing a little funky has major implications.

http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21261#comments Wed, 02 Jul 2008 11:43:52 -0400 Meghann Ackerman 21261 at http://www2.beaufortgazette.com A scholarly account of the Iraq problem http://www2.beaufortgazette.com/blogs/post/21259
This article in Commentary Magazine is written by a historian without the raves and rants of some of our biased reporters. Beside the door handles were the names of, I guess, family members. It was painted in pink decor against the black paint; nicely done. I thought, "how cute!".

Then she passed by and in the same nice pink decor painted along the bumper was, "You've just been past by a girl."

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
